In 1989, a pilot for Northwest Airlines was tired of having to strap his carry-on luggage to a luggage cart. It was then that the Travelpro founder, Bob Plath, decided to create a better mouse trap. He created the Travelpro Crew collection and it became an instant success. Although his first customers were pilots and flight attendants, everyone was looking for the innovative luggage. Many passengers would stop the pilots and flight attendants in hopes of getting Travelpro luggage. Bob Plath extended his exclusive line of luggage for all to enjoy convenient traveling.
